Sherri graduated from the United States Military Academy in 1989, shortly after they began allowing women to attend, earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering. She served in the US Army as a Lieutenant stationed in Germany and later participated in Operation Desert Storm as a platoon leader in maintenance and supply. Following an honorable discharge, Sherri dedicated 25 years to the Department of Defense as a Civilian Environmental Engineer. As her civilian career was winding down, she developed a keen interest in taxes and sought to continue her service to people, ultimately becoming one of the Certified Tax Professionals, specializing in helping clients with Individual and Business Tax Returns and offering Tax Resolution Services.

In 2014, Sherri responded to a Classified Ad seeking individuals interested in helping a small tax business startup, where she would learn tax preparation and eventually take on the management of the tax business. During her first year, she became a Certified Tax Professional by passing a rigorous training and examination process to become an Enrolled Agent. Sherri developed standard procedures to streamline the tax process and provided assistance in generating profitability, ultimately serving over 800 returning clients with their Individual and Business Tax Returns. In 2022, Sherri established her own firm, while continuing to offer Tax Resolution Services as a consultant for her original firm.
